Ah, that's interesting. That's pretty close to your use of bloginfo(), so a natural thing to do would be to pull that part out, construct the path to the image, and then pop it into the right place in the code. I'm sure that I could further reduce duplication by constructing those inline styles before writing the div. My main goal was to do something safer than pngfix.js, and to trim vestiges.

Any insight into what features of a particular install would cause the parsing of bloginfo() to fail?

Hey Jon,
Was just looking over stuff. It doesn't display on my blog when installed. I tried to get it to show up and it shows in the code but not on the display of the page. I remember back when I started there were streamlined ways of doing things and that worked but only for some installs. It's starting to look as though it has to do with the bloginfo line. It is not parsing properly in all installs.

Cheers

Hey Jon,
Just stopping in to see the changes you have made to the plugin. I do see where you are coming from. The only concern I have is that the main issue people were having is only being able to display the banner in the upper left corner. The variables I have in there are the beginnings of the ability to have a configuration page in the admin section in which the user will be able to upload their own updated today image as well as change the placement of their banner. I am going to use your idea for the .png fix however. I will give credit in the release notes on my site and link over here. Thanks for the ideas and help. I appreciate it much. Send me an email if you have anything else you can suggest.
